Terry's Dashboard Round Polished Screw Caps & Covers

Terry Seymour has found a significant upgrade to His dashboard.

He has found a way of eliminating the Three Unsightly Cross Head Screws and Washers used to hold in the Roadster Dashboard.

With the dashboard itself being Polished Walnut the use of Cross Head Screws lets down the finish.

The Offside Screw.

The Centre Screw found between the Dials above the Buttons.

The Nearside Screw.

Terry found this set of 4 x 16mm Polished Caps ( Also available in Matt and Gold finishes in various sizes.

At the time of writing they cost £2.32 a set.

The Fitting method is quite simple.

1. Unscrew the existing Cross Head Screw and remove along with its Support Washer.

2. Place the new screw into the countersunk side of the threaded brass piece and fit the soft washer onto it base.
3. Screw the assembly into the existing screw hole.

4. Trial Screw the Polished Cap onto its Brass Base until Hand Tight.

Repeat the process for the other two Cross Head Screws.

Despite the centre screw appearing to be too high under the leather trim, The Trim is padded and may be gently lifted.

Note! The head of the Morgan Cross Head Screw, as it is, is too large to allow the Cap to screw on.
